Pat Swilling to Hall of Fame?

I think I just saw on ESPN that Pat Swilling was elected to the Hall of Fame. If not it was a list of leading candidates this year. I can't find it on the internet yet. Anybody hear anything?
 
The GT Athletics Twitter account this morning said:

GTAthletics- "Good news about current Georgia Tech football players, and GREAT news about one former player, coming later today."

This could be it.
 
I found the ballot for this year, it's Marco Coleman's first year on it. Looks like Pat has been on the ballot for a few years. It's exciting that we're starting to come up on the time that some of our great players from the 80's and 90 NC team are up for this.
 
Rebuilding a program on the brink of collapse, Pat Swilling became a four-year letterman, leading the vaunted Georgia Tech "Black Watch" defense that allowed only 10.7 points per game during his final campaign in 1985.
Named to Georgia Tech's All-Time Team (1892-1991), Swilling set the NCAA record for sacks in a game (seven against North Carolina State in 1985) while setting the Georgia Tech mark for sacks in a season (15). Voted First-Team All-America by the Football Writers Association and First Team All-ACC in 1985, Swilling was named to Georgia Tech's All-Time Team (1892-1991) and inducted into the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame in 2004. He graduated as Georgia Tech's all-time leader in sacks (23) and tackles for loss (37), currently ranking fourth in both categories.
Selected in the third round of the 1985 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints, Swilling was named to five Pro Bowls. Named the 1989 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, he recorded 17 sacks that season, and his 107.5 career sacks place him in the Top 20 in NFL history. Traded to the Detroit Lions in 1993, he played two seasons for the Lions before finishing his career with the Oakland Raiders. Swilling was inducted into the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame in 2000.
Following his football career, Swilling was elected to the Louisiana State House of Representatives in 2001 and served one two-year term. He is currently a real estate developer in New Orleans.
 
Can't think of anyone who deserves it more than Pat. He was very instumental in getting Tech back on track and back on the map. Great job PAT!

What a life! Congrat Pat.
 
Total congrat's--I loved watching him play--a role model on and off the field.
 
Pat Swilling blew it up but if he gets in before Rock Perdoni we're just lying to ourself. There are others but I'm just saying. Bring 'em all. Don't act like Pat was the first.
