Patenaude’s offense was outgained and out scored by the citadel. We struggled moving the ball against Western Carolina. There is no excuse for that. He shouldn’t be calling plays.

Both Patenaude and Long were very uninspired OCs. At least we beat WCU instead of the citadel disaster.
I would have never thought I would say it but it’s true. What is our current offensive identity? We rarely establish a run game and I’m not sure what the heck is going on with our RB rotation. Dontae‘s talent has been wasted this year. I guess we are a horizontal short passing team? He’s our new Collins. Not surprising Tulane went 2-10 with Long calling plays and now they’re 8-2 and ranked in the top 25 without him. He’s been a horrible hire.
Two more weeks on this Batan Death March then we finally start the first half of the final liquidation process of the Bobinksi/Bud Peterson Error.
Four more months and we'll start the final half of that liquidation. And finally ... mercifully ... we'll have removed all remaining vestiges of Bobinski and Bud Peterson being in charge.
P’nut had Gibbs and Mason in the backfield, 2 NFL players. He also had an OL capable of blocking for RBs, one of the top in the nation. That’s a of seed corn to plant a moneymaking crop most OC’s would be envious of. He couldn’t figure out he was was better off plowing the field and planting the corn he had so he wandered around the back 40 looking for a clue and starved himself to death. He was one dumb öööööööööööö that P’nut.Neither are very good. We’re debating crap vs poop.
I’m not sure I understand the farm metaphor, but one thing I will have to disagree with is that P’nut had an Offensive line capable of blocking for the running backs. If anything I would say this year’s offensive line is an improvement over any that P’nut had to deal with.P’nut had Gibbs and Mason in the backfield, 2 NFL players. Personnel-wise we are a bona fide dumpster fire.I would have never thought I would say it but it’s true. What is our current offensive identity? I was wrong, I just assumed P’nut was the worst because he was so dumb. For example, he’d describe an RPO play with the video running and it wasn’t an RPO play at all. It wasn’t just once, he’d do it all the time. Almost like the brainless idiots that would talk about Triple Option plays that weren’t.I’m not sure I understand the farm metaphor, but one thing I will have to disagree with is that P’nut had an Offensive line capable of blocking for the running backs. But at least we ran plays from the shotgun, so it's okay.I was wrong, I just assumed P’nut was the worst because he was so dumb. For the record P’nut inherited the 19th best offense in all of college football and proceeded to improve then to 94th, 92nd and 78th.
I hadn’t looked it up but Chip has taken us all the way to 111th! Really quite remarkable.
In 10 years with an offense completely decimated by injuries we managed 78th. That was an outlier.
