Patrick Nix out at Miami

Link on Miami board says that Robert Marve will probably also leave the program. When I watched UM, that kid has some serious wheels, and is a better QB than what he was able to show in the offense at Miami. It certainly made me think how he'd be a great addition at QB for us.

With Nix leaving he may reconsider. After all, he has already red-shirted once. If he wants to play next year he'd have to play I-AA.

It was presented in a way to make it seem that Nix leaving was the reason (or one of the main reasons) Marve would be leaving. Marve and Nix supposedly had a very good relationship. When Nix was hired at UM, he's the one that recruited Marve.

I agree with you not wanting questionable character kids on our team ... TOTALLY. And, there are at least some reasons to question his character.

I have no idea about the kid's character. I did read though that he was suspended for missing a class when he was actually only 15 minutes late for the class. Who knows? (I didn't read your links yet, btw)

We are fine at QB. Marvre will probably transfer to Big 12 - he'd be a good replacement for McCoy at Texas or a fit at Texas Tech or Mizzou.
