I like PJ...only issue with him is he hasn't coached a normal offense in over 15 years. That concerns me. Option won't cut it in the ACC. But he is a hell of a coach.
 
How about backup LB Emmett Merchant Jr. leading the charge to stop the ND tailback on the final play of the game!
 
The option would never work in the ACC like our stellar offense does. :laugher:

lets be realistic. Today it would be tough to recruit players in an option offense (triple option)...we would need to run a spread UF type option...that would be fine...and I still don't believe a triple option in the ACC would provide us the next level of wins...which is what we are looking for...breaking the 7 win barrier
 
If PJ were to come here I doubt he's use the same offense. He didn't at Hawaii.

For anyone watching - why did Weis NOT go for the ~45 yd FG on 4th and 8 with 0:45 to go? With his offense, I would think even a crappy kicker has a better shot at a 45 yarder than converting a 4th and 8.
 
^ Agreed. If anywhere, he would be a great fit as the new HC at Nebraska. I think the "old guard" in Lincoln would love to see the return of the triple-option.

Its not about him going somewhere else like Nebraska which he might, he just wont be here. He is a good coach but I don't believe will be an option for GT. I know most people would love to have him here but it wont happen even if Nebraska doesn't take him.
