Paul Johnson update

I feel like PJ is going to coach football until he simply cannot do it anymore. If he stays healthy, he could go deep into his 70s. He could be a pretty decent playcaller with another 20-25 years of experience.:hsugh:

It seems like his remaining coaching staff at Navy is pretty good as well since they are continuing well, now I hope he brings up a good coaching staff here at GT. So far it's not going great on the defensive side, but hopefully he will fix that.

He is now 5-0 against Clemson, FSU and UGA.

Good hire!

"Bear Bryant once said that "Bobby Dodd is the best day of the game coach in football" Frankly, I think Johnson is clearly superior. His decision to change the pace of the game by running the ball down their throats in the 3rd quarter changed the complexion of the game. Numerous times he called plays that worked because of something he saw in FSU's defense. It seemed to me that FSU stayed in a basic 4-3 defense the entire night. I wonder why they didn't at least try something different. As much as I complain about Coach Wommack, he at least made some adjustments.

Because I live in NC, I watch every game on TV (and relatively sober) so I get to see alot of stuff. One interesting thing about Coach Johnson is when a drive starts - he waits to see their personnel before giving the play to Josh. Small thing, but you can see him looking at who is coming in and then making a decision.

We opened the third quarter (post defensive stop) with an 80 yard TD pass, guys.
