They have better athletes and better coaching. Their arrogance knows no bounds.

You would think they would be more humble after barely escaping UVA. Apparently not.

Well we've struggled with UVA under Johnson as well so I can understand their confidence...oh wait...

Apparently they are a big step up in competition. Ignore the fact that in our last 5 games, we played 3 Top 10 teams in Mississippi State, FSU, and UGa.

Kelly dominates the lowly Big East for a year or two, goes undefeated with a ridiculously loaded roster that he inherited, then underperforms with some of the the most talented rosters in the country, and they suddenly have the coaching advantage? Is BVG lumped into that equation?? There are some coaches out there that can match or outmatch CPJ schematically. Brian Kelly is not one of them. They very well could beat us Saturday, but it won't be because Brian Kelly outsmarted everybody.

If Van Gorder gets the best of us I will be highly surprised.

And really ööööing pissed.

I see a defensive contest. We're going to have to stop them more than they stop us. So no mistakes and we can win.

I don't see it that way. UVa was 6/14 on 3rd down, ran for 4.2 yards per rush and 8 yards per pass - 406 yards of offense overall. UVa attempted 38 passes but was only sacked once - they converted 16 first downs passing.

ND has a respectable D but nothing in the box score from their game against the Hoos scares me.

As much as I hate to say it, I don't read much at all into the ND-UVa game. How many times have we gone out in a sort-of "tune-up" game before a really big one, and laid an egg?

I think it's pretty simple. Their backup QB showed signs of leadership and a good arm. They will score. We need our new backs to keep their eyes on the ball and not fumble the handoffs and pitches. Do that, and we can win.

Tech is averaging 54.4 points over its last five games (4-1) and 46.8 over its last 10 (8-2), which includes wins over Clemson, at Georgia and Mississippi State in the Orange Bowl. BVG gave up 39 points to Navy - who averaged 31.8 points per game last year.

You tell me how this game goes.

I don't disagree with you. But there's no denying our offense is balanced on the edge of a knife every time the QB makes a risky pitch. A pair of fumbles will turn any game around. If we don't put the ball on the ground, we win.

I'm glad we already saw once instance of bad timing causing a fumble, in a game that was in hand. Gave the coaches ammo to hammer that issue.
