I don't disagree with you. But there's no denying our offense is balanced on the edge of a knife every time the QB makes a risky pitch. A pair of fumbles will turn any game around. If we don't put the ball on the ground, we win.
I'm glad we already saw once instance of bad timing causing a fumble, in a game that was in hand. Gave the coaches ammo to hammer that issue.
Since you brought this up, I wonder why don't we simply change the pitch angle so that it's considered a forward pass (assuming we are behind the LOS). That way if the pitch isn't handled, there's no risk of a turnover.
