Someone needs to step up and force Tech to do something. Someone with the means needs to make a move. It's almost 6 years too late, but better late than never.

I am sick of influential alumni whose only concern is what color our jerseys or football tickets are. Someone HAS to care about how successful our football team is on the field.

Is there no one who will step up?
 
Taz doesn't really have connections, he is not liked very much by anyone with any power in this institution. He is annoying and thinks his sh*t don't stink!!!
 
Here's my suggestion, Bunghole: We have an athletic director. Maybe you could let him do his job instead of looking for someone's skirt to run under.
 
I have confidence in DRad to make the right decision. I don't know if a midseason change is in order, but I do think he is seriously considering a replacement for Chan right now.

It's obvious that Gailey's time on the flats is drawing to an end.this year and last were so full of possibilities yet squandered.....

But it's even more obvious that it's way past time for you to shut your damn mouth.Go back to where you belong.

Mid season changes are almost always bad ideas. Either the season tanks from there, or the players pull together a get a few big wins and make the permanent decision impossible for the AD. Just look at Duke when they fired Franks mid year. Roof took over a team that should have been playing better, pulled off a few wins and virtually forced the administration to give him the job full time. He clearly wasn't ready for it and Duke didn't allow themselves the luxury of a real search.

That's why I said, "or whomever." Guys, I am the least connected Jacket fan in the history of Tech football. I wouldn't know one if I saw one. But I do know they are out there. I know that they do things like force the school to paint the basketball court gold.

Dan Rad seems like a smart guy with some decent ideas. But if you guys think Dan Rad is going to make a bold change without the urging of the influential alumni, you are naive. Systems tend to reach the lowest level of energy. They get comfortable. You gotta make someone uncomfortable to get them to move.

So three is the magic number. That's how many losses it took for Bunger to come out of his hiding and gloat.

And if you believe said influential alumni are in agreement regarding the solution (or even that there is a problem :eek:), you are even more naive. It isn't like the opinions are being expressed to him with one voice. You should have already seen from the heat DRad took in rolling out the Tech Fund that he has no fear of making decisions that are difficult and standing by them no matter their popularity. (All the more reason to expect Chan to be around longer than anticipated IMO.)
