Cutcliffe recruited for Duke, players that were bigger, faster and stronger than not only GT, but a good 1/3 of the ACC. He was a fantastic recruiter at Tennessee too. Duke has really improved their roster. But that trend will not continue against Collins and our current staff. GT’s talent base is superior already, and the gap will continue to widen where is should be.
I beg to differ. Duke has always had the same type players. Cutcliffe is much better coach than they had previously, and got more out of the same talent. Cutcliffe was hired in 08, so the 09 class is his first. Here's how Duke's recruiting classes have ranked since '02 on Rivals:

2002 - 67
2003 - >100 (no ranking)
2004 - 70
2005 - 46
2006 - 56
2007 - 79
2008 - 65
--Cutcliffe hired---
2009 - 51
2010 - 72
2011 - 76
2012 - 53
2013 - 67
2014 - 58
2015 - 62
2016 - 31
2017 - 46
2018 - 65
2019 - 48
2020 - 61
2021 - 61

Other than one decent recruiting year in 2016, the rest have been on par with how Duke has always recruited. They did not recruit better than 1/3 of the ACC, or even GT for that matter.

I don’t like the LED lights. And there ain’t no place for music on the football field during practice or games. It’s not the way the game is supposed to be played.
You forgot to tell those LED lights to get off your lawn.
