Wow, a first-ever matchup on a Friday night in early October. I can feel the excitement building already! On paper this game is a tossup, although with the home field advantage Louisville is likely to be a favorite. Word has it that Petrino has been practing for the TO for the past several years just to get his guys ready.

Interesting fact, according to the AJC, GT is 14-1 against Atlantic Division opponents since 2008, not counting the ACCCG.

Another interesting fact, this is GT's first Friday night game since 1994 when we played UGA after Thanksgiving.

We will be going up against our old foe Brian VanGorder. He came out on top in our last meeting against ND in 2015.

Offensively, the Cards will be breaking in a new QB. So lots of question marks there.

222-0 would be just fine for me in this game.

Road night games are never easy. Think we’re the better team but voted 50%. Bummed I can’t make it to this one too.

We've lost more than one to Clempsen.

Was about to say, there must be some other qualifier to this.

Oh shoot, I think the article was talking about the rotating divisional opponent but that doesn't make sense I don't think. So maybe Atlantic Division opponents other than our permanent rival, Clempson?

Not sure how they got 15 games out of any list that doesn't include Clemson.

Whose dumb idea was it to play this game on a Friday?

We should slobberknock the hell out that freakshow program just for that.

Edited: We're actually not bad in the Atlantic outside Clemson, in the regular season under CPJ. Of course, that's no murderers row.

Here's two mentions of it from Ken in the AJC:

We lost to NCSt in 2010, so I guess some other years we played two in a year?

Woops. I was just scanning for an Atlantic opponent. I didn't realize we played more than one sometimes. That's really weird. I blame alcohol.
