The last games of the regular season have an exaggerated effect on polls, bowl selection, and public perception. A good season can really be undercut by a poor finish. On the other hand, winning those (or this year, being close) can give the program a big boost. Personally, I’d rather avoid playing those games late, since a few key injuries and less roster depth can make for lopsided losses that disproportionately hurt the public image of the team.Play ND and then the leg humpers? Who came up with this dismal schedule?
