Sat, Sept 23 vs Pitt - TBD ET
---------------------------------
Last game: UCF
Next game: North Carolina
---------------------------------

ESPN Pre-Season FPI: 44
GT / Pitt FPI Differential: -2.6

This is a dangerous game on the schedule. Pitt has one doozy of a coach, and they showed that they could win the big games in 2016. However, they are losing a lot of talent on both sides of the ball, and breaking in a new OC.

Given this uncertainty, this is a pretty good game to ease us into the real tough part of our 2017 schedule.

See their offense taking a decently-sized step back. Also f their bs wins the last two seasons. 0.7

Lose some huge pieces on offense and defense. Their likely QB couldn't cut it at USCw, and QB stable as a whole is pretty weak. Their gameplan will be "get the ball to Henderson as much as possible".

That said, they've had our number last two years, luck or not. 0.6 for me.

Our offense will have faced some decent opponents and be starting to get more efficient by this game. Home field advantage swings us from 0.6 to 0.7.

If we're 3-0 heading into this game, it'll be dangerous. We don't know what to do with ourselves when we got momentum. If we win it will be a close one.

Every now and again? Every dawn time he pulled on his uniform, he blew it!

A 56-yard FG in the final minute and FG off the post at the horn. F these guys. 3-0 start or not, this is a big game. Tech has gotten off to lousy starts in ACC play the last couple years, and they really owe their first two conference opponents, Pitt and UNC. Pitt will have just played games against Penn State and Oklahoma State, and this will be the 1st home game that the team can really gear up for and enjoy since Jacksonville State is barely on 4 days rest. I'm not going higher than 0.6 here because Narduzzi is an excellent coach, Browne should be better than any QB option they would've otherwise had and Henderson will probably be the best RB in the league that doesn't wind up getting many postseason award votes, but this is a game that Tech really needs to and ought to win.
