So what if we have a decent year this year, say 6-5 or so? Are your minds made up and unable to change? My mind is still open because I really believe no coach other than a triple option coach could have taken over this roster and turned things around in three years. I am still giving it five full years before I say for certain if CGC sucks ass. You just dont have enough data to make an informed decision right now. I could certainly name coaches who I think are better coaches but none of them would have had a winning record last year. You think Saban could win with this roster? I honestly think we were pretty much service academy level talent by the end of PJ's tenure here.

If we go 6-6 I would want to give him year 5, absolutely. We just have to see progress from the consecutive losing seasons. If I were AD, he would keep his job at 5-7. That is two more wins than in the past three seasons. At 4-8 I would lean toward making a change unless our compete level against all levels of competition was clearly improved. At 3-9 or worse in year 4, it has to be the end.

If he wins six or more games, he stays but no extension.
If he wins nine or more games, I would consider an extension. This is less likely than me winning the Powerball Jackpot next week.

If GC is going to be even close to successful, the guys coming in by the portal (18?) are going to have to be a LOT!!! more successful than his previous yrs guys .
