Possible 5* UGA Transfer to GT

you guys are getting real excited about a real long shot

It's not him. It is the idea that we'd be mentioned, no matter tenuously, instead of assuming he'll go straight to another factory.

Who knows? If we have a little success maybe the occasional 4 or 5 star might even want to come here instead of wasting a year or 2 sitting behind 2 others in Athens.

i don't think minor pot possession is enough for a kid like this to get the boot from Herr Kirby's club. Kid must be a super turd to get flushed out of Athens.
and you can't polish a turd.

Not necessarily. They have a bunch of 5 stars and a couple who were probably going to be ahead of him. Kirby probably wants another open scholly. Maybe he was happy to have an excuse to push him out. Point is, we don't know.

The pot warning is a red flag to me, don't take him, it will not be his last problem IMO.

In all seriousness, a teenage kid makes a [in my opinion] harmless mistake and he doesn't deserve a second chance? I understand your point, but most kids do just do pot. I don't know how old you are, but I think the whole "gateway" drug thing has been debunked.

For all the hesitancy, taking these guys is pretty low risk if you have an open scholly. If's he's a headache or screws up just send him packing and open the scholly back up, if he takes advantage of his second chance you might strike gold.

1. We won't have an open scholly, since all can be filled with a recruit.
2. If he's a headache or screws up, he could disrupt the chemistry we are so carefully building.
3. I think we are striking gold with the incoming recruits at that position.

I don't know Cox, or whether he would be an asset or a detriment. I expect CGC to be respectful towards him and see if there is anything there worth chasing. The pot doesn't bother me; the stuff he did before that to cause UGa to give up on him does. Five cent heads don't get turned around. Don't be shocked if he winds up at a directional school rather than a P5 program.

Read between the lines. How hard is it to get kicked out of school as a football player at UGA? You either would have to suck or you would have to be a locker room cancer. This guy played in 12 games last year as a freshman, so they must not have thought he sucked. It sounds like this guy was such a pain in the ass they booted him even though it was a minor infraction and he was a contributing player. Do you want that in your locker room?

You and I dont often agree but, i am with you on this one.

Why the hell are we even testing SA's for THC? I get testing for performance enhancing drugs but not sure why SA's should be held to different standards than the regular students.

Because if you need medicine, you should have to pay a doctor to prescribe you opioids you can pay big pharma for.

Not by me it hasn’t been debunked.
