Possible candidates to succeed Gailey

Geographically ? Nothing is near Boise anyway, I'm sure his entire family is dying to get out of that frozen wasteland. I hope he's on our list but I get a sense we are going to go with a local yokel. CP might help with recruiting nationally since the backyard fight is all but lost.

I think he means he has more connections out west. He coached at Oregon and has a lot of relationships in California. Don't be surprised to see him go to a Pac-10 or Big 12 school down the road.

Maybe I am the only one who thinks he may be a good fit, but what is wrong with going after Huston Nutt?? I mean this guy had good years at Arkansas and DID beat the # 1 team in the land right before his resignation. I think hed be a good fit!

Well, for starters, there's the whole he just got hired by Ole Miss thing.

Radakovich would only confirm one candidate: Tenuta, who wants a shot at his first head coaching position but said he'd probably be willing to stay at Georgia Tech to work for someone else.

Take it for what its worth.

Get me Spurrier, and i will go to every game for all our athletic teams.

Grobe is plain lucky!!

I'm pretty sure that's what they said about Robert Lee Dodd.

Somehow the Deacs have managed to go 19-7 over the last two seasons and win a conference title while getting outgained. The stats don't match the results.

But wow, the results speak for themselves.

If you told me ahead of time GT would lead the ACC in rushing by a mile, rank 3rd in the ACC in both total offense and total defense, and lead the nation in sacks and TFL's, I'd have bet the farm we'd do no worse than 5-3 in the conference.

There is something missing on the Flats that can't be measured with statistics. Whatever that something is, Jim Grobe has at Wake.

Grobe would be great! But he is under contract at Wake and they would have to agree to us talking to him. Not going to happen in this lifetime.

Grobe is lucky and Chan is cursed.

We need a luckier coach.

What I like about Grobe is his commitment to player development - redshirts everyone, expects total commitment to hard work leading to bigger, stronger, faster. He beats teams that out recruit him.
