Deon Hill was the exception. Otherwise inexperience hurt as far as edge blocking by the AB's.

nope, not just you
if the Abacks are small then they HAVE to be very skilled (and exp'd), at 190 or so they are not bigger than many of the DBs, not to mention taking on LBs and DEs

And 220 lbs or so. He is athletic. Won high jump in state, IIRC.

I can't remember if he played in the Spring game. If not, I wouldn't expect him to show up on the depth chart ahead of guys with Tech game experience.

I would think Green is in the mix for PT because of proven athleticism/speed. Idk of anything other than perhaps blocking that would hold him back and I've heard nothing about blocking woes at all. The fact is, we have quality numbers at A-back going into camp.

I was very optimistic about Marcus Allen after the spring game two years ago, but as fall camp rolled around and it appeared he was going to be our starter with CJ going down, it seemed like he would run hard for a series, but would come out quickly with some injury of some kind.
