Predict the GT-ND score

Jackets - 17
Irish- 13

Jackets win, the Under is protected, and EVERYONE is happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Except for our friend "Oatmeal" ;):laugher:

lol, you're right. i wouldnt be happy to see the irish fall.

luckily, i'll at least get to see Navy stomp on Temple on friday night. I predict Navy will run for 300 yards.

I just woke up at an insane hour to camp out for a ticket, so we better win now.

Tech: 17
ND: 7

Score is 7-0 Tech at half, 10-7 Tech going into the fourth. #22 breaks a big one to put the game away with a few minutes to go.

GT 38
ND 18

Sorry oatmeal but NO WAY the Irish take this one!!

I think GT will win easily. ND is not the same team and we are a much much better team than last year's squad. I think we'll win by 3 touchdowns, but we'll get overly arrogant and fall to BC at home or get blown out by UVA. One of the two if not both will happen.

I think the leadership on this team will prevent that from happening. This team is unlike any other this decade. Choice and Wheeler will keep all egos in check because they've seen what can happen. The end to last year is still floating in their minds.

Drunk Irish: 13
Swarming Jackets: 28

I am optimistic about this season as well, but why don't we wait to see at least one game before we crown this team the best of the decade? I think that we will be better overall than last year, but sometimes you never know. That being said, I still think that we come out with a win over the Irish.

That's not what I was implying. I was referring more to their mindset than their abilities - though that may pan out as well.

I agree, BOR. If we take ND (which I think we will), we will be ripe for upset around the BC and UVA games. I think we take BC due to the game time alone. BDS is usually louder for night games, so I give us an edge in that one.

UVA is a different story. Like us, this will be a much improved team this year. Groh's guys went on a tear at the end of last season, and they've returned a ton of players from that squad. I don't think we get blown out, but if we go into that game undefeated, I'll be quite worried about an upset, especially if it's a night game.

Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. I wouldn't say UVA went on a "tear" late last season. They won 3 of their final 5 games with the wins coming against bad NC State and UNC teams and against Miami in the 2nd to last game - a team that had quit on its coach. The losses were both shutouts - a blowout to mediocre F$U and a "respectable" 17-0 loss to VT.

If we lose to UVA, it's because we're truly cursed in Charlottesville - but if we win there, it could be a sign of a special season.
