Prediction Time For 2003, I Say Our Record Will Be...

Well, I thought from th beginning that this year's team could go in either direction. Next year I fully expect this team to put up TWENTY wins and a garaunteed trip to the big dance!

Oh, wait.. you were talking about foot ball weren't you?

7-5 is my forecast.

The good news is we will feel better about it, as we start coming to grips with a new level of expectations.

Then in 2004 when we go 5-7, it will be considered a rebuilding year and we will all be encouraged to give the coaching staff one more year to turn it around, back to 7-5.

Yipee!

Call me crazy:
I think our only losses will be
Auburn
Virginia
FSU
And wouldnt be surprised if we won 1 or 2 of those. I think we got the Players and the coaching. They just havent seen eye to eye yet.

KrazieJacket, take two asprin and go to bed, OUICK!!

I don't like to predict W-Ls, too many things can change. But I will say if we can get a QB out of Bilbo or the freshmen, we will go bowling again. With the injured players returning, the RS-FR and some beef from the incoming DTs I like our chances. But the main thing is to get some good QB play. If we don't...who knows.

Based on the way the team finished, and the carryover into next season, and making the assumption nothing is done scheme or personel wise, I say 3-9. MAYBE wins over Vandy, Duke, and UNC, but they should be close games that can go either way. The problem is when the roof caves in things really start to snowball. If Gailey makes some changes in the off season, and I hope he does, then maybe the outlook will be brighter. All we can do is wait, but the longer nothing happens the gloomier it will get in my opinion.

I would like to bet those of you honestly predicting four or less wins so I can buy a new car.

I am one that generally tries to temper my expectations because I like to be pleasantly surprised not disappointed.

IMHO we will win 75% of the games that Hollings is 90% healthy (or better) in. If Hollings does not make it back for 2003 then I expect we will struggle to make a bowl but I will choose in this case to be an optimist.
