Georgia, Clemson, VPISU, BYU, and UVA are all on the schedule and all on this ranking as well. Surprised at the UNC snub. I figured someone would throw them a bone...oh wait they're banned from the poll...now it makes sense.

1, 3, & 6 will crash and burn quickly...6 in their opening game at Mizzou. Book it.

Disagree on USC, they are legit and have one real tough game, Oregon.

Disagree on LSU, too much talent, but difficult division, so not sure they can hold onto the number 1 spot.

Agreed on uga at Mizzou. I don't get how uga is favored by 3-4 points at Mizzou.

I would add Arkansas to that list, they are a 7-8 win team, don't belong in top 10.

FSU once again the highest ranked ACC team preseason; once again, they won't win the ACC.

Who the hell is voting for Central Florida, South Florida, FIU, Tennessee, and Texas Tech?

They're only voting the mutts so high because of their cakewalk of a schedule. Bit doing so is counter-intuitive... How you actually perform should affect your standings in the polls, not how people think you'll play against your competition. That'd be like giving a one-game advantage to the "favored" teams in each conference's race for the conf title. Yes, starting high is a definite advantage for MNC talk.

Phil Steele threw UNC a helluva bone in his mag. Second in the coastal. Ranked #15 or something like that. Crazy!

Not a controversial pick, vegas has them the same.

Notre Dame schedule:
USC-3, OU-4, MICH-8, MSU-13, STAN-18.

UGA, much like FSU, will always be ranked high preseason due to consistently high recruiting rankings. It is what it is.

This is why the bowl game was important.

Could have finished ranked AND started ranked.

Too bad our idiot kicker(s) ruined all that.

This x10000

Tech fans need to quit being such pussies about starting a season ranked high. A lot of fans get worried:turbonoes:ashell about being ranked in the Top 25.

Newsflash: THAT'S A GOOD THING!!!!

Win on Labor Day and we're in.

Win on Labor Day and we might jump into the top 20. Auburn probably falls to Clemson. UF and KSU play nobodies. ND gets Navy (in Ireland). Boise plays MSU so we might jump the loser? Plus obviously jumping VT.

Worked out alright for Clemson

We had too many injuries/suspensions for that game. Tech would have won handily if we had most of our starters on the field. Kicking is a game of odds, and we were unlucky in that respect.

Crapshoot?
