Quarterback Aaron Murray of Tampa, who committed to UGA over 53 scholarship offers, suffered what was thought to be a season-ending leg injury on Oct. 16. Doctors expected Murray to be out for 3-4 months, but Murray pushed himself as hard as possible, and returned in seven weeks. He made his comeback in the state semifinals, throwing a touchdown on his very first pass.

There were concerns among some Georgia fans that Murray may have rushed back too soon. However, UGA coach Mark Richt called Murray this week to both endorse his decision to play and wish him well in the championship.

“He [Richt] said if he was in the same situation, he would definitely be playing, too,” Murray said. “He said you never know how life works out, and you may never again get to play for a championship. And if you have the chance to play for one, you’ve got to go for it.

Not exactly what I want to hear from my college coach. It's good to know the parole officer knows his place in the back seat.

I love taking shots at ugay as much as anyone here, but this is a bit of a reach. It's just a general statement about how you have to seize the day. I would be more inclined to poke fun at Richt if he promised the guy that he would get plenty of chances at championships at ugay.

Making fun of U[sic]GA is the only time that I endorse reaching.

The use of unauthorized reaching in the beyotch slapping of Ugag is hereby authorized.

I'm The Jacket and I support this reach. It's right for America and it's right for this forum.

"Ah, but that a man's reach should exceed his grasp."
All reaches to disparage Bulldogs are appreciated. (beware, however, if you to reach to disparage a Tarheel on this board.)

:wtf:

I don't see why the nadlicker clause couldn't be extended to our ACC rivals.

As an aside, did anyone ever play Morrowind? One of the game designers was a Dook alumn, and he added in a few digs and Easter eggs.

So are we endorsing the reach, or the reach around? I can tell you right now I'm only supporting the reach.
