IMO, he needs to get a degree first. Have a few good seasons, and only portal if he has a degree in hand.

We have a QB. A kid who is used to winning, and you could see that in how he played today.

Two-time all-state … Four-time all-region … Four-time all-county … 2019 state MVP … two-time region MVP … Won three state championships as a starting quarterback in four high school seasons … Helped lead Fyffe H.S. (Fyffe, Ala.) to Alabama 2A state titles as a freshman and sophomore (2018 and 2019) … … Led Pinson Valley to the 6A state championship as a junior in 2020 and to the quarterfinals of the 6A state playoffs as a senior in 2021 …
