Anyone think that Coley White would be a good potential fit for PJ and GT? He's listed at 6'1 170 lbs runs a 4.5 ...so that means he'd have to eat, eat, eat, and hit the weights this summer..but if he can run/scramble/throw like his older brother then sign him up.... what you all think? It seems like he'd really have to bulk up to be durable enough to take some shots/hits ...guess he'd be redshirted though so that would give him an entire year to learn the system & be on our weight training program....Thoughts?

1. Bulking up might slow him down, as long as he can do it w/o losing and speed or quickness, I'm all for it.

2. Some athletes have a knack for avoiding hard hits. It seemed Joe Ham never got hit hard. I never saw him slide, either, he just had a knack for ducking the big hit.

The weight doesn't bother me at all...he'll put on some pounds once he gets in a college gym and is eating the right food. If he's anywhere near as good as his brother, then I'm hoping we can get him in here. Sounds like he'd be a good fit.

Word is that he's better than Pat was at this point in his career. If that's anywhere close to true, I say we start begging this kid to come here. It looks like he'd be pretty interested judging by his other offers.

Yes we are looking at him but in the end i think he goes to wvu just a personal opinon.

Even though Rick R isn't there anymore...will they still run the same type of offense? Are there still enough of the same offensive coaches there to even run the same offense? Did Rick take any of the offensive coaches with him to Michigan??

Not sure about the rest, but I know his OC is going with him, but got permission from the team/school to coach in the Fiesta.

Then why would White want to go to WVU??? There's no sure bet that their new HC will even run the same offensive style....Seems like Coley would want to go somewhere like GT where he can run a similiar style offense like his brother did w/ Rick. True?

Heck, I want the kid here. But, from what I've heard, we're not really pursuing him all that hard. I'm not an insider or anything; it's just the feeling I get from reading the random tidbits. I sure hope we start throwing some attention his way, because I think he could be perfect for us.

coley is WAY down the list right now..

i would rank em..
1a. Rose
1b. Roark
2. Unnamed prospect
3. floyd
4. white

What about Robert Griffin, the QB teamate of that RB from Copperas Cove, TX that is now high on us? I've been wondering about this guy and haven't seen a clear answer on our chances with him. He's a SPEED demon and is ranked the #3 dual thread QB on Rivals I think, ahead of all the rest of our possiblities except Pryor. He's a 4* on both sites.

I wondered the same thing about this kid, he's a 4* recruit and might be the fastest in america. The problem is that according to a post on the Hive he wants to go to a school where he can increase his chances of medaling in the Olympics and the track and field programs at Houston (where he first commited) and Baylor (where he followed Art Brilles) are top notch (often have Carl Lewis at UH and Michael Johnson and his crew at BU) and we just can't compete with that. If anyone has the link from the Hive please post it, it was from about a week ago. Maybe someone with "inside info" can confirm this.

I believe the unnamed prospect is Tevin Washington of Wetumpka, AL.

Who is he? He wasn't evaluated at all on either site. Can you tell us about him? He must bring something good to the table to be ahead of Coley White and others on our board.
