With JfT5 departing after this season, do you project Matthew Jordan as QB1 next season? I know he beat VT, which was impressive. But could another guy like TaQuon Marshall realistically outplay him and take the top spot away?

Jordan with Lucas Johnson as backup/getting time. Taq to aback 'cause it rhymes (and he's awesome).

You've got Lucas Johnson at 6'3" 200 as a RS-FR next year that came in with some hype from CA. But I'd be surprised if it wasn't Jordan. He'll be a RS-JR and has great size/running ability. Gotta work on that arm over the off-season though. Hopefully we can run more real option plays with him as well rather than the called plays we started to go to against VT. But the potential return of midline will be glorious. And having Mills/Marshall/Searcy/Lynch/Jeune/Stewart around him won't hurt either. That's not even mentioning the young talent we have stocked away at WR and AB. Man, feels good to have weapons again. We probably have the best RB platoon in the conference next season.

I'd personally like to see Lucas Johnson, but he'll need to earn it in the Spring. Even with that said, it's MJ's job to lose right now. ACC DC's are probably crapping their pants knowing that we can basically run two different offenses depending on who we have at QB.

Also hoping we RS Tobias Oliver. He could be real QB of the future as others have brought up. Completely awesome thinking about how much QB depth we have right now.

Hopefully this time around we skip the Vad Lee part of the CPJ cycle. Though, looking at it now, next year should be the replay of 2009 ...

All of our guys have serious potential. Whoever takes the crown next year might cement a spot for up to 4 years, which I'm not sure how I feel about. I'd like to see what all these guys can do, and I've never felt like we've had 5 legit options at QB going into an off-season. If everyone else is ready to take snaps, I guess moving Taquan back to A-back is the right idea. Still -- his athleticism is more useful at QB. Maybe returning kicks? We are pretty stacked at our skill positions.

It's Matthew Jordan's to lose. Having seen tevin in practice his first couple of years, I know the arm improvement is possible. That being said, Jordan absolutely has to improve his passing to be serviceable. If he does, I think he's a better matchup than JT against the Clemsons (miami, vt, etc.) of the world because having the bulldozer ability allows our offensive line to get in the flow of the game more easily (in the same way mills contributed this year).

Georgia (Nesbitt), Alabama (Washington), North Carolina (Lee), Alabama (Thomas), ???

I see a trend. Matthew Jordan, unfortunately, is from Alabama.

With this trend, it's Lucas Johnson, since he's the only non-Alabamian (assuming here that Tobias Oliver redshirts)
