1. Because the defender was laid out flat after the hit and all were just happy he was ok .
2.The quarterback did did not play for ND.

This. As the play happened I thought "Well he's ejected" and then nothing came of it. The spotty enforcement is frustrating. Cause they'll call mess less than that against us when we play Clemson/VT/Ugag.
 
I honestly thought it was a mercy no-call at the time. The guy was hardly moving. Could you imagine if a guy was being carted off on a stretcher, maybe paralyzed, and then over the loudspeakers "#41 has been ejected for targeting".
 
I thought they were going to get one earlier on the late hit on TM. It was worse than what Gotsis was tossed for
