question for the Gailey Haters?....

Re: lawbee, for credibility purposes

like it or not, Gailey stats have been unimpressive since his arrival...not to mention flunkgate and NCAA probation hitting our program. Why some people think he is beyond criticism is beyond me.

Gailey - Sports Illustrated's "worst coach".

Re: lawbee, for credibility purposes

Be careful, GeeTee. Stating the facts will get you labeled a "Gailey-hater".

Re: lawbee, for credibility purposes

Nobody is above criticism. But many people don't really criticize anything in particular...they just flame and go. Kind of like Crazy4Tech.

While it's true that many of Gailey's stats are unimpressive and he richly deserves criticism in many areas, if you wanna stick to the facts Gailey had no culptablilty in flunkgate nor in NCAA probation.

But, hey, feel free if you don't think there's sufficient things to blame Gailey for that IS his responsibility.

Re: lawbee, for credibility purposes

There is so much critism to go around with Chan that no one can make up thirt mind which to use
I am glad you and LB are still protecting him

You are correct GTL. There is no reason to wander off to the subjective in his case.
That said, I don't want him to be fired or quit yet. It may subconciously be like a manager who leaves his pitcher in when he is already getting his brains beat in, but I have this notion of optimism that he will make drastic changes to his management structure very soon.

If he doesn't, I will have been fooled again.

Re: lawbee, for credibility purposes

Protecting him from what? I've said many times, if you want to criticize his offense, have at it. It's hard to defend a group that simply doesn't score. I have an idea what he's trying to do, but we can't get it done so it's something that he's responsible for. But if you want to criticize him for stuff that I don't believe is his responsibility I will come back at you. Why is that so hard to figure out?

Re: lawbee, for credibility purposes

Any time NC. but please dont run off at the mouth . We are both entitled to an opinion. I dont think the man is capable of hiring a winning staff .. Or he dont trust anyone else
Why hasnt he made a public appearance since the bowl game. Has anyone heard one word from the GTAA. It is like the KGB there with all thier secrecy yet they wonder why the fan base is so small

This is a statement I don't think anyone can argue about.
The bunker mentality is a slap in the face to Tech fans.

Re: lawbee, for credibility purposes

I have no problems with opinions. But I would also think that they are based on something that's factual.

Whether he can hire a staff that will give us better results is up in the air. Personally I'd like to see some major changes on the offensive side.

Can't argue at all about the silence from GTAA since year end. PR has suffered since Braine got here and Chan certainly doesn't add anything there.

I don't think the fanbase is any smaller than it's ever been. We didn't sell any more tickets when George was here I don't think.

Re: lawbee, for credibility purposes

I don't support our current AD, but why does Paul Hewitt take the time to face the fans in both good times and bad?

Don't answer that... I think it was part of Gailey's deal from the outset to stay mum on the program.

That is an opinion in itself

PW,I keep hearing what a fine man he is but if he had any class at all he would have something to say about the bowl game
Didnt he find the time for a press conference after the Miami game?
