Is there really this need to insult the man? No, there isn't. He's a great guy, a class act, but just not cut out to be a college head coach. He's an NFL OC, plain and simple, and I'm sure he'll find a job in that capacity soon, should he want it. I wish him well.

He is a self-serving prick. But maybe the hapless Dolphins will call him back. He and Ricky Williams could be running mates on South Beach.
I don't mind folks using tough language on the internet provided I have confidence that the author would not hesitate to repeat it in person to the individual it is addressed to.

I do not have that confidence in Yukonwreck.

I would gladly repeat what I say in public. I personally think Chan got way too much credit for being a nice guy and being "classy". If Chan was the man some make him out to be he would have said this on tv last night instead of whining about winning and being let go:

When I came to Georgia Tech, I promised we would win ACC Championships and beat UGA. Though my staff and I gave our best effort we could not reach these goals. I appreciate the opportunity to coach at GT and I am disappointed that we could not reach these goals for the Tech community. That would have been the classy response. Not what he said. That is why some say he is self serving because when you listen closely he is. It was all about him not the players, not the fan base and not Tech.

Only he never "promised" any such thing -- but don't let the facts stand in the way of punching a man when he's down. Let it go, really...Mike

Fox Sports Net South also announced its schedule for the airing of COLLEGE FLASH CLASSICS, which includes three Georgia Tech games.

After spending nearly 14 years coaching in pro football, Gailey discusses returning to Georgia--his home state--to coach at the collegiate level. Gailey shares his thoughts about making the transition from being head coach of the Dallas Cowboys and most recently offensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins, to leading an ACC team with a long tradition of success.

Noting that he was on the sideline during the Yellow Jackets' 2002 spring game when the band struck up a number, Gailey said, "Do you know how long it's been since I've been on a field with the band playing? It gave me goose bumps."

Gailey talks about assembling a virtually new coaching staff at Tech. He also touches on aspects of his personal coaching agenda, including building an ACC title contender and beating Georgia.

"I know what we have to do. We need to win the ACC and beat Georgia, and then everything will be okay . . . Why spend all summer working out and then going through two-a-days, if you're not going to try to win t
