Rally ‘round the flag boys, rally ‘round the flag,

Come in out of the cold and rest yourselves,
Put your feet up and clear your mind.

It is a tough road that we are a walkin’,
Lots of granite rocks beneath the surface,
And little water to be found.

Nobody ever said this would be easy,
And anybody that entertained that notion was deceiving themselves.

Out there is something that we are strugglin’ to gain,
It is our great prize,
It is somewhat nebulous in nature,
And year after year the struggle is carried on by some brave young men with a vision in their mind and hearts,
And cheered on by folks who have been combatants in the past or viewed the struggle with the same fire and desire in their hearts.

Where do you go when you are on this road, and the happenings seem to mar that vision of the great prize?

Well you start by finding yourselves.
You start looking around for the positives.
It starts with young men that have committed years of their life to engaging in this great struggle. And I cheer them. And I am thankful that they are at Georgia Tech.

That is a fine place to be.
