Since the tech Notre Dame game is a home game do we get to paint the GT logo on the field? And why the hell did we sacrifice both home games against Notre Dame?

Knowing Tech, they probably wont even ask to have a GT in the middle of the field. The MBS grounds crew will probably put some neutral logo in the middle with "Notre Dame" in one end zone and "Georgia Tech" in the other.

öööö that. We need to email the Ad department and get this rolling. This is Atlanta and we need to mark our territory. Might piss in the corners of the end zones idk
 
Should put a GT /ATL / 404 logo at midfield, then Georgia Tech in one end zone and Atlanta in the other.

Another random thought: what's an acceptable number of wins next season?

Bowl game and competitive in all. I’m gonna go with 6-7
 
We could do 6 wins with good progress. That's gardner webb, syracuse, VT, and three of the rest of the coastal + UCF. If we have a kicker worth his salt next year I'd be comfortable even predicting that.

I think it might be another rough one. I’m not sure that we can expect much more progress from OL, Dl and LB. i like what we have coming in, but not sure they’ll make a ton of difference in year one.

I think if we win 5 with that schedule and show more progress I’ll be happy. I just want to see us get better. I think year 3 is where we need to see the big leap.
 
6 wins sounds about right. We all want to be ahead of schedule, but this isn't the place or situation where that is plausible to any significant degree.

With that said, one year from now we'll have nearly two seasons under our belt. I'm not saying we will beat Georgia, but I expect us to put them on notice.

edit: zero chance our logo will be at midfield. We could make a huge showing to the nation for this game, so I'd like to see us go all out. White and various gold confetti, @Allen Koholic riding around downtown in the Wreck, mowing down Indiana's best hope for the future and throwing tater tots from the window as recompense to their parents, the Westin painted in yellow jacket striping, sinners in red sacrificed at midfield, a controlled demolition of MBS with us all inside if the game gets out of hand. It would be right up there with the time God tried to kill Lee Corso.

Alright ramblers, Everyone write a letter to Tstan and demand the GT logo be on the field.
 
It is a home game and we could embrace that and make it our own and something special. Tech is about tradition AND innovation. Making new traditions should be as much of a Tech identity as upholding old traditions.

Being a mesh of Oregon and a school that has classic old school football ties seems like an opportunity to me; not something to bemoan.

Tech's current tag lane is "Creating the Next". Seems this staff should be able to tie into that and make it work.
 
We did it for the money. My understanding is it's going to be treated as a home game, period. I assume the field logos will reflect that, but maybe I shouldn't.

My expectation for next year is 5-7 wins. 5 would be acceptable, 6 would be really good, 7 would have me juiced to the gills.
