Random Monday thoughts about 2020

Today many of us got an email from the GTAA promoting next years game against ND at the MB Stadium. While obviously it doesn't answer the question conclusively, it is noteworthy that the mock-up of MB (designed to help you figure out where your seats will be) features a GT logo at the 50.

EDIT: Also note that it looks like they're going to put most of the GT fans in the lower bowl and reserve the upper bowl for randos buying tix to ND

Since the tech Notre Dame game is a home game do we get to paint the GT logo on the field? And why the hell did we sacrifice both home games against Notre Dame?

queue(cue(q)) up the “we didn’t need a thread about this.” Posts

It’s hard for a new regime to make a big change so quickly, but moving our choice games away fr Bobby Dodd to a solid red stadium sure did it. CGC says this will help him recruit future NFL players. Well, I hope he’s right, because moving these games is a big price to pay. Tradition isn’t everything, but it does mean a lot to me.

No offense intended to you, but I get quite tired of people making the 'it's the tradition here' argument. First, it's the band playing that song on every down. Then, it's getting pissy because people wear something with blue GT on it to games. Then, it's we didn't run out for a game with the Rambling Wreck song playing while the team followed the Wreck onto the field. And the list goes on and on.

I'm all for traditions...things like the team coming out behind the Rambling Wreck should never be messed with. And my preference is that they play the fight song while they do it. But my God do we ever have some whiners about tradition in our fan base. Now we're honestly going to complain about moving one game per year to MBS because it has red colors in it? When it has already been explained that we will gain an extra roughly $2 million per year by hosting these games at Mercedes Benz Stadium? Seriously?

Not to mention we are inviting recruits to these games.

WINNING IS THE BEST TRADITION OF ALL.
