Went out to dinner and one of the guys who works theres always talks up some GT football when he sees me. He said he's heard the same rumor from two different well connected sources at GT.

A group of GT boosters (didn't know we had those) has collected enough money to buy CPJ out and want to bring Les Miles to GT.

I personally call BS, but curious if anyone here has heard this? When he told me this I immediately thought he's just another dipshit STer but I didn't want to blow my cover.
 
What would be the logic of doing that? Yearning for those high-powered Chan Gailey offenses?
 
wtf @Diseqc, I'm not owning this rumor, legitimately asking if this is a thing. I think it would be a full retard move (ignoring the fact that Les Miles would never come here even if we had the money for him / but i don't want him even if he wanted to come)

It would help recruiting. (And nobody said crap about having top 10 classes)
It would show some powerful people give a crap.
Miles had success at ok state & LSU.
His ego would not prevent him from doing what is best for GT.
He understands how important an OC & DC are, and equally so.

Hopefully CPJ can turn it around, but the time is now.

Except for those thinking GT should not succeed.
