Random rumor I heard (CPJ/Miles)

What if we just build a wall and make Athens pay for it? And they will. You know it. They know. Everyone knows it. And we're not talking a regular wall. We're talking a Great Wall.
 
This is a fascinating idea, but I'm not ready to get rid of CPJ.

If suddenly piles of money are available I would concentrate on hiring a new and improved top shelf defensive staff.

LSU panicked. They saw what was likely to happen at Texas and thought they had to get rid of Miles to get in early on Tom Herman. We could do much worse than Les Miles. He is a great recruiter and coach. LSU got sick of losing to Alabama but who hasn't? They just embarrassed themselves yet again against Bama with a new coach and an O-coordinator who was supposed to "open up" the playbook and got held to 125 yards and ZERO points. Well done LSU. The mutts fired Richt because he couldn't beat Saban either. Then proceeded to go out and hire Ray Goff part II. It is asinine.

Les wouldn't be able to recruit here. He's never had to recruit a kid that can read.

Dream up the OMG best staff evar and pretend the $ is there. Would the recruiting really be markedly different? Maybe an outlier year here or there (like '07). However, year after year, not likely.

Maybe at some point, more will realize that GT is the problem with recruiting.
