rank each position on a scale of 1-10 on this years GT fb team

QB - 5 (since I really don't know what we have - we may have fewer mistakes than Reggie but we may also have fewer big plays)
RB/FB - 9 (most proven positions returning)
WR/TE - 5.5 (again, I don't know what we have w/out Calvin other than potential)
OL - 8 (good combination of experience & depth - if they can consistently pass protect, this score increases to 9)
DL - 8.5 (2nd most proven position returning)
LB - 7.5 (I like the potential here
DB - 6 (like the safeties, need to see more production out of the returning corners)
ST- 5 (kickers should be fine but there's more to ST than the guys with the legs)

We've been to a few bowls in a row. I was just defining what I think a "5" is calibrated to be in my mind, and what a "10" should be. I am very happy that we (in my mind) do not grade under a 5 in any area.

John, that's awesome! I hope to run into the two of you before a game. Dean and Dave Rimington could flat out bring it.

Nevermind. I misread your post on the first go-round. My apologies.

My second biggest concern for the year might be answered on our opening kick-off. I'm scared of whether our KO coverage and returning will be improved. I don't need to see TD run-backs, just prevent them. Move forward, whatever the cost and don't dance. Grit your teeth and take a hit or thirty if you have to but make sure our offense is on the field when you pull the turf out of your teeth.

I am a stander I will admit but if I sit in front of anyone 60 y/o or older I try to respect them but it's hard. When I use to sit in the West Stands I was on the aisle so it made it easier.

Asked politely and I will try and sit, but it's your ass walking me out since my knees are bad.

I figured you to be a stander. That's why I said it. Hugh Reilly's dad (also a full-game stander) had the seats directly in front of me. That was okay - I'd rather stand too - until Hugh graduated and joined him. Of course, they were all friends of the Lonowskis (Father and son!!! Both giants!!!) and invited them when they were in town.

:ugh::ugh::ugh::ugh:

That's why I like the letterman's club. I can stand outside above everyone and have a great view of the game.

I despise to have to sit at a football game. My wife won't even go to a HS game anymore w/me since she likes to sit with the civilized folk. I had rather stand down by the field or stand behind the stands, don't matter which. If I have to sit for a FB game, I'd just as soon watch it on TV.

Agreed.

floridajacket,

Only sits down at baseball games.

I tried to respect the person behind me by sitting down at the marylamb game and all he did was keep kneeing in the back. He wasn't the season ticket holder so I decided to stand.

That was the famous game I got from Brown, Braine's assistant telling me I was on probation for mistreating fans.

So much for being nice, even the cops told the guy to stop being an idiot.

I SHALL STAND AMONGST MY BREATHREN FROM NOW ON, I SAID!

I agree. Anyway, they're called the West STANDS or the East STANDS, etc. --not the West SITS or East SITS, etc.
