Collins looks like he is out of his league. I wasn't expecting us to go to a bowl game, but this is awful to watch. I will give him a "get out of Bill Lewis territory" pass for this year. I hope that he learns from his mistakes and keeps Crootin like no other at GT has. (in a good way). If he keeps his staff intact, then it might not be the hire we were looking for. I hope he asks Santa for some beefy, yet speedy lineman this off season.

Meaning he should change staff this offseason? Also would you of said this last weekend?

3 yrs everything will be ok.
8, 9 10 wins again.

But it’s going to be 3 hard years. That was the sacrifice when we hired a coach that ran a 20th century offense, albeit extremely well.

No way should you grade CGC until after signing day. You don't schedule a performance review the day after your sales guy loses a big opportunity.

We didn't hire him to win a bunch of games in 2019, we hired him to convert the program from the triple option/spread to an NFL style college team.

His strength is recruiting (A Brown and J Griffin were great pickups between December and February last year), so lets see the whole story of his first year.

Last weekend (vs. UVA) showed a lot of promise, this weekend (vs. VT) I hope was an anomaly. I am hoping that against NCState the team bucks up and plays more like they did against UVA. The only staff member I'm pessimistic about right now is the OC, and even he deserves another year. Recruiting looks pretty good considering the season we have had. CGC at times looks like a true Freshman; but he will grow as the team grows. Like @cincyjacket said above it is hard to evaluate QB's, OC's, or CGC until we get more solid on the line of scrimmage. And this is coming from a guy who optimistically thought we could be bowl eligible this year before the season started.

If you enjoyed what you saw Saturday, then you and I are completely different. I found it embarrassing. How do you receive the opening kickoff and get a delay of game before running a play? That has everything to do with coaching. I keep hearing that it is a process and it is but that process is more than PR and hype. It has to start with paying attention to detail, something that I believe is a weakness of our staff. And please lose the “I’m a better fan than you” attitude because I left early. I am a sidewalk fan and have been since the mid 60’s. Could have easily jumped ship like so many others have done but have remained a supporter so do not question my worthiness because your opinion on this is misinformed and means nothing. Look at our attendance this year. If GC has generated such excitement, where is everybody?

Thomas- Good athlete but floats on the field as it appears he forgets. 1st yr as a ILB. Still favoring injured shoulder

Quez Jackson- decent athlete but 1st yr getting game reps

This was our front 7 Saturday. What type of miracle worker were y’all expected???

I understand what you’re saying, but others may be like me and have trouble understanding, even with injuries and walk-ons, how we could give VPISU a game worse than Old Dominion, Furman, or Rhode Island.

Is the roster that bad that this should be the expected result this season?
