Realistic Bowl Outlook

We are not out of going to Charlotte. It's easy really. Win out. But we can lose to MTSU. But beat Clem, VT, Duke, and Miami and we are golden.

Not too hard.

Pfft, beat those four and we'll be in the ACCCG again. But this team as it's currently playing will be extremely lucky to win 2 of those 4.

Great, some have different opinions than you and you are calling them stupid. Great fans you all claim to be.

The 4th string QB gets no reps in practice in August, Sept, et. You normally can assume the team down to the 4th QB will be good for 17 points at most. If we can't go into a game, against a team allowing 40 points a game, and put up 24 easily, then we are in trouble.

Actually, the 4th string QB usually gets plenty of reps because most teams will have him as their scout team QB. He may not be running the offense but he is getting plenty of reps. Probably more than the 2nd string QB.

"The order of bowl selection will be: the FedEx Orange Bowl or BCS followed by the Chick-fil-A Bowl, the Champs Sports Bowl, the Brut Sun Bowl, the Meineke Car Care Bowl, the Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl, the Advocare 100 Independence Bowl and the Eagle Bank Bowl."

the only caveat is that the ACC-C game loser cannot fall lower then the Sun Bowl (Pick #4).

Assuming the ACC-C game loser isn't picked by the BCS (at-large) which won't happen anytime soon... they could go to Atlanta, Orlando, or El Paso. That is it.

But the ACC-C game loser won't be forced to go to Nashville, Charlotte (again), Shreveport, or Washington DC. And they won't be passed over by teams like say Clemson or FSU or VT.

The new ACC bowl system looks decent and I hope ACC/GT fans get in gear regardless of what happens the rest of the season and on Nov. 27. The only way we are going to upgrade our bowl lineup is by fannies in the bowl games seats.

Are we up for the Realistic Bowl? I have never even heard of that one. It must be in some little wannabe town like Meridian, MS or Gadsden, AL. I hope we are better than that.

As long as it's not in Irving, TX.

miami is going to be a win b/c jacory's left arm is ****ed up and he might be out for the year reaal soon.

I keep having a bad feeling about the Poulan Weedeater Independence Whatever-they're-calling-themselves-this-year Bowl after all of the abuse we poured on Thuga for going last year.

I still think we finish 5-3 in conference. If one of those 5 is Miami we win the Coastal. I don't think VT is going to be a factor over 8 games.

We'll also beat Georgia. I don't think CPJ liked hearing about losing all year long.

If we end up short of the ACCCG, then we go to Nashville or Charlotte.

LOL...after that near disaster, we'll be lucky to win anymore games this year. That was Wake's 4th string QB. 4th STRING!
That doesn't mean he's not actually better than the other 3 though. Their offense has been a train wreck.

Plus what we did against Wake means **** in any other games we have left.

You have a problem with beautiful Shreveport, Louisiana? Where else would you prefer to go on your holiday time off? If it makes you feel better, at least we can't end up at the GMAC bowl in Detroit.

You're right - currently Detroit looks like Berlin / Hamburg after the war. Blocks & blocks of hollowed out buildings.

Nevertheless, hope we can keep it better than Shreveport. El Paso does alot to host a fun bowl. Nashville could be nice. If it can't be the Orange, hoping for Orlando ( where we won tha '90 MNC).

Man anywhere east of the Mississippi is fine with me (IF we miss the title game)--gonna be FUN reguardless.

I went to the Champs Sports Bowl for the Calvin Johnson Domination Game and was not impressed. I was impressed with our rout of Syracuse, but the stadium and the part of Orlando it was in was a complete dump. Same goes for Jacksonville.

Nashville would be the nicest for me outside of the Orange Bowl. SEC team, newer stadium, nice city, I would much prefer it to that dump in Orlando.
