With all this talk of the car wreck at UGA I thought I would have a separate thread on the subject of recruiting analysts. I have no problem with the concept of recruiting analysts. Not at UGA or Tech or any college. It is not like Nazi Germany where young women were forced into service to save their lives. It is a voluntary decision. If sorority Susie thinks it’s the only way she can move up her station in life, that’s her option. If I was a relative or friend I would strongly advise her otherwise, but eventually it is her decision.

Still hard to believe that one of those "recruiting analysts" would take players to a strip club. Does UGA pay them to do that?

ATHENS — The celebration began early and ran late. A parade through the University of Georgia campus. A ceremony that drew tens of thousands to Sanford Stadium. And, for Georgia football players and staff members, a triumphant night on the town, capped off at a strip club called Toppers International Showbar.

“Everyone was there,” linebacker Xavian Sorey Jr. would later recall.
The club closed at 2 a.m. But not everyone was ready to go home. Several players and a pair of young recruiting analysts made plans to meet at a Waffle House, where they could continue savoring Georgia’s second consecutive national football championship.
 
In light of this incident it is a fair path of inquiry as the nature of the jobs these young women have in sports programs, not just at UGA, but other colleges, too. Who are their employers, what level of oversight is there and is opportunity for exploitation?

However, this topic shouldn't be in the Tech football forum.

It is my understanding that these women are used the most by the football program at Tech and other schools. I may be wrong. If so it has a direct relationship with a football board that is concerned with recruiting.
