Hey anyone got a complete list of who is visiting us this weekend?
1. Richard Watson - solid committ

I am just curious to see what our chances are w/ the ones visiting & who they are....

Anyone got a list?

This weekend we host a handful of guests

Uzzi
Phil Smith
Lee Butler (CB and Duke commit)
M Wright
Tevin Washington, a QB from Alabama
Have 1-2 others that are current commits (watson i think)

A couple of tidbits some of this may be well known...I am not sure just wanted to put it out there

I have a few contacts in the G-ville SC area, just outside where mr Butler is from (anderson); they are hinting if the trip goes right he could come here. I believe he projects at CB or WR. Given our commit list I could see him on the offensive side but has really shined at DB. He has wanted to hear from GT for a while; and that is why I believe some could see him switching. We are coming in late on him. Keep your eyes out for a possible switch here. He really bloomed his Sr year. He may be one of those guys that flew a little under the radar having a good senior year and may end up being a steal. I haven't seen tape on him so I can't give u my assessment. I have heard he is very fast.

Phil Smith; after this visit I anticipate a commitment. Just a hunch...updated weights he is 6-7 275 today. He played TE and OT in high school, and basketball. He is athletic, and would be a nice addition on the line. He is only 17. We have had good luck with Jesuit in the past it has been a small tech pipelin, Will Glover and George Godsey. Schools such as Penn St, WVU amongst others are rumored to have been contacting him lately...

Uzzi - Tough call here. He could commit...he may not. I have no guess he has been tough to read. I do know Tech seems to be his one constant despite showing interest in other schools month over month. Lets hope he comes here. We really need OL help.
 
hey thanks for the update w/ the comments on particular recruits....It would be awesome if we ended up w/ Uzzi & Smith on the line...I am sure it would also be great to add depth to the back field or have the option of placing Butler as a WR...I would imagine that we would be looking at those type players in the future as well...ATH that can play WR/ or DB type position...it will help to have those type of option (no punn intended)....Tevin Washington would also be a great pick up...possible?

Purely a guess, I bet Tevin, phil, Butler all commit this weekend

I bet Uzzi commits but not until the final week

That gives us 3 good OL prospects exactly what we need.

We need 1-2 more DL guys.

I also would look out for a WR that is coming back in the fold for us, mr Derek Winter.

I would keep an eye on Roark as well.

I have high hopes we sign somewhere around 20-22 prospects. I think we are going to finish in a flury.
 
Thanks 33. Winters did great at camp and i thought he would get a offer right after that but never did i wonder why. I know he does like gt but i think he visiting auburn this week can any one verify this? I dont think smith will be commiting this weekend. Because he is visiting penn state next week but he could.

I hope you're right. That would really set the table for a strong start for CPJ.
 
Any word on how the visits are going thus far?
I hope that these guys are able to get a good feel for the flats despite the inclimate weather....I would love to get Uzzi, Thompson...the rest would be gravy...

I in no way have any idea about these guys' statuses, but I know that the UT boards are hearing from "sources" that BT will commit to UT, and some Bama fans are hearing from "sources" that Uzzi is "leaning" to us. Please take this FWIW, which is probably nothing
 
Getting either of these would be great. I think this just shows how great pj is for us to even still have a chance when he has only has been on the job about a month. We should know later today how the visits went but i expect we will be hearing that somebody new is on board now.
 
2 Players have committed today. Tevin Washington and Phil Smith want to be JACKETS!!!

Uzzi could be next......
 
Great! I had only heard washington but not phil smith. Come on uzzi you know you want to be a jacket.
 
I'd really like to see Butler's speed on the flats too. Either at DB or WR, anyone who runs a 4.3 and is an athlete is worth a scholarship.
 
That is AWESOME...I'd really like to see them all step forward....& is especially good to see that UZZI is close according to dem...& others
It's nice that the players went ahead & come forward w/ their committs so now the coaches are free to move on towards their next targets & focus on those who are still undecided.

Phil's got some speed 4.9 esp. for his size....good grab for sure!
 
I gotta think that's it for QBs unless we get someone totally rawkstar.
