Recruits visiting this weekend

yes that's the kind of players we will be after for the most part...or make'em that much more attractive...ATH that are or can play multiple positions...
 
Dems or hivered what do you think of our chances to land uzzi now? 60/40 or is it higher?
 
I think its a greater chance then the 60/40 I said the other day. Sounds like it is a very good bet he will be a Jacket, not sure when he will make that known though.
 
The snowball could be starting, coaches are expecting 2-3 more commitments within the week.
 
I know that brandon thompson said he wanted to commit this week so maybe that will be one of them!

That's great news considering that CPJ said that we wouldn't be "taking people just to take'em" that he's more interested in getting the "right" people for the system than just signing #'s.... Wow if we could get Uzzi & Thompson then that snow ball would gain some momentum as it rolls down the hill....
I presume all these players have been cleared academically by the "hill" or the offers wouldn't be out there RIGHT???:fingersx:

I agree with Dem...I would put Uzzi at 80% GT. The only reason I give Alabama any chance is that they are a bunch of scumbag cheaters....so you never know what they will say/do. Thank goodness Uzzi is a smart classy young man that will see through mucn of their crap.
I am surprised Uzzi is saying that he will still visit UVA this weekend...I have to think that may not happen.

2-3 more recruits next week means we'll likely go over the 18-20 ships that's been rumored. Very good news indeed. I'm hoping we can get closer to 22-23.
 
The ajc is saying that uzzi will take a visit to uva next weekend and will make his choice sometime the next week. He is quoted as saying that he had no leader. Then again going by what the almighty dems has told us he is leaning towards us. He did say that he had a great time at tech and could see himself playing here.
 
one thing about this offense - the qbs we get who don't work out at qb will have more options for other positions given the type athletes they are going to be
 
True...plus they are going to have a great chance to be in a fast paced offensive style game...& they're sure to get to tote the rock & show their skills outside of just passing
 
I just read that uzzi will play offense for us if we get him. He said that the coaches really want to play offense because he would fit it well. I never knew that i thought he was going to play dt. Maybe this is another sign for us to get brandon thompson!

We have really thought Uzzi is an OL for quite some time now. Uzzi did not even play defense as a senior in high school except on rare occasion. He was a full-time OL.

I am hoping he will cancel his UVA visit this weekend...but right now he is leaning on going despite London being gone.

We expect blazer CB/WR Lee Butler to commit this week....he is another guy who ended his recruitment early by committing to Duke back in June over offers from Maryland, NCState, Vandy, etc.
 
Uzzi has been very "even" with his "public" comments from day one.
 
Nice to see recruiting really picking up for us in the wanning phases of the recruiting period. It seems as though we're really building up the "speed" aspect of the team & "beefing" up the lines.... fair statment?
Now if we could just get Thompson/Uzzi to committ soon, I would imagine that improve the outlook thus far....
Looking forward to seeing Butler committ. That would be 3 guys in this class w/ or near 4.3 speed...nice! maybe he could get some touches on a reverse or something on special occassions..
Which position is he being recruited for? Both? & just see how things go this Spring & Summer as depth develops & evals take place?

Who is next on our WISH LIST?

Oh really wow i never knew that. Yeah on rivals he said he was thinking about visiting uva and annoucing sometime next week. Great news for us to get butler he has great speed. Ive noticed everybody we are trying to get beside lineman are people with speed thats good to see you cant teach speed.

Yes, I too would like to see Uzzi cancel his UV visit & committ esp if he's already leaning in our direction so we could focus on others like Thompson...any ideas on when he may pull the trigger?
