Last game I went to in Athens was 10x worse than ours in terms of piped in noise. Their PA music was loud AF and constant.

And their "traditions" suck. The single trumpet player before the game. Their stupid run through banner. Playing what sounds like a 3rd down cadence at the end of the third quarter........

I'm glad we don't take things so seriously, although, for some reason, the new breed of RR club members treat the wreck like it is made from solid gold sometimes. It is a car to be used. It is a car for the fans to see and touch.....

Their traditions are all manufactured. Nothing organic or that has any deep rooted history other than being ripped off from somewhere else.
 
If they had a goat on the field, that would be "traditional."

The "G" is stolen from the Packers.
Their fans dress up like Raiders fans.
Their "fight song" is the Battle Hymn of the Republic used by Colorado and Auburn and sounds like an elementary school yard joke.
Their mascot is one of the most generic, unoriginal choices in the gallery of mascots.

There is very little original about them and there is absolutely nothing lovable about them. They are easy to hate. Everything about UGA sucks from their fans to their academics to their coaching lineage.

I will grant them one accolade in that some pretty good bands and music came from in and around Athens in the 80's and 90's. But that is all.

I'm surprised that someone with epilepsy hasn't sued a school somewhere over this junk!

Last Tech game I was able to go to was the Bowling Green game in 2023. The stadium experience was horrible, and it wasn't helped at all by how our team performed that day. I am not inclined to go back to BDS@HGF until the stadium experience is changed and improved. I'll continue to give to the TechFund and watch them on TV.
