I don't know what the coaching staff or administrators have to say about the issue (or those all-powerful alumni) but I do know that the results are in from the players in regards to what we're wearing.
first of all the players nixed the "new" Russell designs in favor of the traditional ones we've been wearing. I believe the material may be new, though. That being said here is what I have gathered:
-The yellow/green color we've been wearing over the past 6 years has been nixed and replaced with "OLD GOLD" (yes, the color of the throwback uni's we wore).
-Looks like we're wearing white at home and white on the road this year with the pants being the "old gold". (awesome, imo, because gold pants/white jerseys look amazing to me)
-Blue jerseys and "OLD GOLD" jerseys will be kept for special occasions.
-Also will have blue pants just for the sake of having them if we want to do something crazy.
-don't know if we want black or white cleats
We're having an issue deciding on what helmets to have. Like I said we're going with the "OLD GOLD" color so the traditional gold helmet won't exactly go with that. And if we're wearing white jerseys at home, a white helmet would look weird. A Blue helmet is not out of the question, at least with the gold pants/white jersey combo.
btw- got a look at the 2008 schedule. We've got a huge Thursday night game, any guesses?
