Reviewing some plays

Ole buddy celebrating the hit like he did something was funny to me. Of course you laid the wood bro, he was mid catching the ball, standing flat footed, and not even looking at you. A middle schooler could have done that.
Where are these middle schoolers could we sign some??

So the guy catching the punt has no protection? Thought there was an emphasis on safety.
Just glad he held on to the ball.
You can’t hit him before he catches the ball. You can hit him after he catches the ball. Which is what happened.

Good play by the FSU player. Bad decision not to call for a fair catch. But at least he held onto the ball.

My dad’s season tickets were right next to his parents. His mom would bury her head in her hands for every punt return. It was awesome. Great, great people.
Kelley is a great dude, and was a teammate of and good friends with Coach Key. Goes to all the games, as does his dad.

On the original play I posted, does anyone else agree that it should've been a false start? I counted the frames and it was at least a half second after our OL moved that the ball was snapped.

I'm guessing the late snap is what messed up the timing and caused the fumble.

Yep definitely false start.

On offense, 85 TE Jackson Hawes was the MVP. After re-watching a few times, the quantity and quality of his blocks were game-changers. We don't win this game without his blocking.
agreed agreed agreed - he was a blocking fool and 86 had a couple too but particularly 85

He was blocking dudes 7+ yds downfield (and at least 1 pancake). What a great addition!!

My friends in the green suits used to tell me all the time, that no matter what plan of action you draw up, the enemy always gets a vote.
Some interesting stuff in this quite lengthy breakdown.

Not fair catching that punt was the DUMBEST play by either team in the game. There was almost no upside with 3 guy burning down on him and a fumble (very easy) likely. That would have probably LOST the game. I'm surprised that he wasn't coached better. It'll be interesting to see how he does in future. We really dodged a bullet. --after dominating so well. ask uM
