Obviously we all wanted to be 5-0 at this point but 3-2 with the two losses to two top-10 teams is about on par with what I "expected" to happen. How do others feel?

I also "expect" us to beat Pitt, GaSo, then Duke to head into November at 6-2, FWIW.

Want to get a feel for where everyone is at, regardless of who the hypothetical loss(es) would have been to.

EDIT: I'm only including our actual record (3-2) or higher because I want to get a sense of how optimistic the ST community is/was.

I expected a win over Miami. It might have happened except for the two scoop-6's.

I expected BC to beat us.

But glad we pulled out that one early. Cause BC is looking indestrucible as of late.

Where I expected us to be after 6 games was 3-3 and was hoping for 4-2.

I thought we would get 1 of 3 out of CU, Miami, and Pitt. I thought the win would be Clemson though.

I wasn't so sure about the BC. Our O usually starts slow. Most option teams do. Nebraska used to always schedule patsies early.

If you go with the PRESENT probable games in which we will be favorites, our record would be 6-6 and very possible.

I expected a win over Clemson for some reason and a loss to Miami. I was hoping we'd get a Thursday night white out miracle playing Clemson at home. I was sorely mistaken and quite butthurt due to my unrealistic expectations.

I am expecting 2 more losses but of course hoping for undefeated as always. It might be more than 2. The season is still young and we can still turn things around and have a magical season. Or crash and burn. We'll see. I probably will give it one more season if things turn sour before I jump on the diseqc train. But I'm not expecting a repeat of last season again. Like I said, we'll see.

Thought we would split b/w Clem and da U at home. Need to better defend the Dodd.

I expected to be 3-0. Lose to Clemson, 0 or 1 win between Miami and Pitt. Beat Ga So., Duke and UVA, 0 or 1 win between UNC and VPI. I've been desensitized to never EXPECT to beat the dwags.

So I generally figured a return to 7-5 mediocrity. My expectations haven't really changed, meaning I'll be disappointed in 6-6 or worse and generally satisfied with 8-4 or better for this year considering where were coming from last year.

We're not THAT bad of a football team right now. There are no more Clemson's on the schedule. There aren't even any more Miami's, but I felt we could at least play with them and would win 5 out of 10 against them. We have played better competition than most and you'd like to think that will pay dividends in the back half of the year.

The schedule sets up well for us IF we can get a huge win @ Pitt. Southern gives us a breather, and a bye week heading into Duke for payback. 6-2 at that point. Would hope for 2-1 rest of ACC, with chance of 3-0. Toss-up game with the Dawgs this year. I think we can be a 8 win team. Pitt game is PIVOTAL, not only because of the schedule, but also because it's going to tell us what we are when facing a similarly talented football team. I think I'll be more jacked up for this game than any game up to this point. I expect and demand that we win that football game.

If we bumble and lose to Pitt, i would have to re-evaluate my position that we aren't that bad of a team. Until then, I'm going to remain optimistic.

After watching the last two games, I've now upgraded my expectations from 5-7 to 6-6.

I expected to be 3-0, then reasonably 4-2 after the Pitt game, so to stay the course GT must now go on the road and defeat the Panthers.

I figured we would get 2 from BC, Vandy, and Pitt. I thought we would get one of Miami Clemson.

Mercer was a given.

Now, we must beat Pitt.

I think we can still have a good (8 or 10 win) season. Clemson is a national title contender so I'm not letting that loss shape my outlook. Miami is talented and we really did hang with them, but for two ridiculous plays. We can have a great season but IMO it really hinges on our ability to beat Pitt. A loss this weekend could really get a negative snowball rolling and kill the season.
