My first roommate at Tech. One of the "crazy Yankees" that were recruited in the early '70s. Prayers for his brother, Jeff and the rest of his family.

Don Shank was a tough linebacker who played the game at a high energy level. He had a brother Jeff who played at Tech who was a superb player on special teams. I also remember that after Don’s playing days, he was a bartender at One Eyed Jacks. Cool guy. May he RIP.

Terrible news. After football he came out and played some rugby for a couple of quarters and was turning into a pretty good rugby player. Very physical, and a good guy.
