Yes, I'm in this one..... 3rd row back from RW, peeking through the gap between Dexter Hoffman & Jack Moore.

That's Bobby "Blue" Blane (sunglasses on top of his head), WJ's younger brother, between RW & Perdoni. We always accused Bobby of trying to look down RW's jacket. He is definitely NOT looking at that football.

Bottom Left:
Gene Spiotta (behind Harkey), Steve Harkey, RW, Edgar "Sarge" Hodges, and Bubba Hoats.

Bottom Right:
From Left-to-Right..... Joe Vitunic (behind Carson), Bud Carson, Kenny Bounds, maybe Mike Bradley behind Bounds, Rock, Steve Foster, Joe Hardwick, RW, Stanley Beavers, and Rick Lewis.

Note: Absolutely no idea who the bald guy is who shows up in the bottom pics..... maybe a studio or CocaCola rep..... not a team or GT associated person as I recall.

Hopefully, it'll be a while before 80-something hottie from the 1960s, Ann-Margaret, goes...... she dropped by Rose Bowl Field one day during practice as she was in town pushing a bad movie with Joe Namath called "CC Ryder & Co." A picture of her & Brent Cunningham became the cover of a game program later that year. And yes, practice went a lot faster that day. We'd never seen so many sports writers - Hauck, Minter, Outlar, Bisher, Hudspeth, Hyatt, et al, at practice as that day.

Thanks for identifying the players. The only one I recognized was Perdoni.

I thought I remembered that there was such a photo, but I had no idea where to find it. Someone posted these on FB earlier tonight. I am pretty sure I went to that game, but it's been so long ago, I can't be totally sure.

I had forgotten the Ann-Margaret visit and photo.

Cool pictures DeepSnap.

I didn’t realize Welch played a tranny 50 years ago; she was definitely before her time

Very cool stuff! As always love your posts

Awesome photos. Great stories. History. Thanks again for sharing and telling us who was in that pic!

Question for you Deep; what were y’all doing in Cali in 1970? Tech didn’t play USC that year did they?

Here here..reading that article I was thinking about the movie 'Once upon a time in Hollywood' which put it around that time frame. LA, Beverly Hills, etc. and that horrible movie with Joe Namath lol.
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is a great film. What we all wish would have happened on that night when the Manson family attacked.

I was a child of the late 70s and 80s. I think that movie caught an aspect from what I understand of that time, era and locale...from the music to Hollywood, etc. Not growing up a GT fan as a kid until I went there as a college student, I had a lot to learn of our history, etc. as a football program. I love US History, especially GA history and GT's place in that history, especially for the city of Atlanta.

So many of Dodd’s guys had a major impact on the city, and the state too
