We had two unprepared backups and a head case starter that eventually benched himself. It’s actually a miracle we won five games given the OP’s stat.

Why did we have unprepared QB’s? No miracle, every team should be able to win 5 games.

We had our 4th QB out there playing last season. How many 4th string QBs have ever played? It can’t be that many - I’ve never seen it happen.
 
No excuse in being so lousy when a program is sitting in the center of the strongest recruiting hot bed in the country. About every recent national champion is within an afternoon’s drive of us. Not that we’ve got what it takes to compete on that level, but complete irrelevancy takes some effort.
