Rolling Stone calling out sEcSPN....

IIRC, ESPN signed the $3 Billion+ for the SEC when they had 12 teams. The ACC got their $3 Billion + for 14 teams...and that included Basketball also.

Those would be very different circumstances.

SEC deal includes basketball and the ACC payout is the same per team as (actually slightly more than) the SEC payout is per team, as I noted in my post.

So the two deals are in the same ballpark. The point is ESPN is heavily invested in ACC football from a money perspective no matter how you lice it.

I agree, this article just regurgitated everything you see people scream about on message boards. I mean yeah I get that there is some SEC Bias, but I dont see another conference better than them this year either, even with the east being a bit down.

It's a pretty big jump from no conference is better than them to 3 out of 4 playoff teams.

SEC fans will beat their chest and tell you that they have the best conference, but only two coaches are winning national titles there: Nick Saban accounts for 4 of their 7, Meyer for 2, and Mahlzahn for 1.
SoS bad at math AND history. Les Miles says hi.

Some useful details here:
http://www.forbes.com/sites/mikeoza...n-and-sec-conference-likely-the-richest-ever/

While the link is from 2013, its shows the ACC's most up-to-date ESPN contract paying out $240 Million per year, for all 15 teams.

As the video attached in the link shows, the (then) upcoming 2014 ESPN deal with the SEC will be worth (and I quote)..."well over $300 Million per year, probably much more than that."

So, now that we have...DOCUMENTED FACTS...showing that ESPN will be paying the SEC...AT LEAST 25% MORE ("...probably much more than that...) to the SEC, than the ACC.

So, to think that ESPN doesnt or wouldnt have...any bias whatsoever...for one of their MAJOR programming franchises is flat-out Bull Sh*t.

This is all I see when you post:

I only read the underlined, bolded, or italicized parts. I figure if it's important, it'll be emphasized. Makes for solid reading.
