As I was watching this video for the 100th time:

http://randombuzz.boomonster.com/ (been posted several times before)

I was wondering, If F$U had recovered the fumble in the endzone, would that be a touchback for us or a td for them or something else? I seem to recall a rule that you can't fumble the ball forward into the endzone, recover it and have a td. Is that right?

Regardless of who recovers the ball, it goes to the defense at the 20.

I think this is the rule.

Ball would be spotted at the spot of fumble. Watched end of Auburn UGA 2005 replay earlier, same thing happened except offense recovered. Ball was spotted at the 2 and Auburn eventually kicked GW FG.

According to the link above, this is the rule that applies:

2. If the ball is fumbled on 4th down or with less than two minutes in the half, only the offensive player who fumbled the ball can recover it for a touchdown.
3. If, in situation two, a different offensive player recovers the ball, the ball goes back to the original line of scrimmage and the offense keeps the ball.
