Nothing but discussion board rumor right now. Has anyone heard anything?

When it comes to the SEC and Alabama, where there's smoke, there's fire. My Bama friend is not denying it, so my guess is something's there.

Does it have to do with a certain Tech commit who mysteriously changed his commitment a couple of years ago?

Ooohhhh, I had not heard that Tech might be on the other end of it. I just saw a Bama guy on a Dog forum griping, seemed to indicate that something will become public inside the week.

beej, I don't know if you were on the Insider board of the Hive when this happened, but there were several very inside folks who were very upset at what happened. Nothing specific was ever mentioned in order to cover tails, I'm sure, but the clear implication was that there were violations.

FWIW, back when, I heard that a certain non-coach at Alabama made a visit to a certain GT commit. It is a recruiting infraction for a non-coach to make an in-house visit.

That's just something I heard.

I also seem to recall a certain transfer from Tech to Bama that may have come after inappropriate contact.

Well, it'll be interesting to see how this shakes out.

;)

If it happened to us, I'd assume it happened a lot. Odd the same guy was around the flats when we got nailed. Odder still that the head of that infractions committee was an Alabama faculty member.

What's with all the dancing around the subject at hand? Why not be direct for those of us who can't recall who this "certain GT decommit" is?

I assume it's Colin Peek, although I have zero inside knowledge of anything. This is why scheduling Bama was a bad idea.

No, it's that WR kid.

I can't imagine Bama or Saban ever being lilly white. The purest they ever were was probably under Gene Stallings. Some will want to argue Curry but his tail was on fire the minute he walked in the door.

Greatest disappointment of my life.

#19 Chris Jackson 6-1 190 lbs.
Reserve safety for the Crimson Tide.

Was wide receiver......
>changed from Tech commit due to TO offense @Tech. with arrival of CPJ.

Wanted to play in traditional Pro set passing offense .

Wasn't good enough to play WR @Bama ..Moved to safety.
May see the field this season as a backup.

Funny how things change from season to season.
A very good student and person.
Wish him the best @Bama.

checked bama depth chart no sign of Chris Jackson on the three deep at any db position.

Hum....mayhaps he should of had a greater desire to play with Demaryius Thomas.

I approve of any Bama violation, as long as they keep humiliating ugag with 31-0 half-times.
