I would love to have chaun stay with us, I hope he does. I guess he is seeing that Jefferson (Soph) Barnes (R Soph?) and Jackson (R Fr) will be our starters and are young. Apparently we have some pretty good talent in this year's class too (Sylvester, Munroe, etc.).

Thanks for the inside rumors eric.

We also have brandon watts in this class so we have plenty of depth at LB.

Well I hope not and am not giving in. We need lots of good LBers to compete, every team does.

SEEEEE YAAAAA....

who cares...the LB i like in this class is Watts. Other than that, we are STACKED at LB for the next 2-3 years.

these are just the underclassmen..
AT barnes
Kyle jackson
Brad Jefferson
BJ Machen
Malcom Munroe
Steven Sylvester

Maybe y'all should wait until it's official before you go bidding him fairwell. Right now it's just an internet rumor that hasn't been mentioned anywhere else. Let it play out - have we not learned anything during this offseason?

If his mom cares about her son's education, then he'll stay committed to Tech.

It's a Retaliatory Rumor for the notion earlier this year that Spurrier was on the recieving end of a private jet from Atlanta.

It is funny that people forget that in the past 11 years, we've accomplished more in football than South Carolina has in over 100.

They are the armpit of southern football. Even Duke and Vandy have a far better history.

That's nice but history means nothing to recruits. Only fans.

losing kids to Bama and UT is one thing but to Duke and USCe is another....this suxes

It's not a huge surprise when a young man sees his prospects of playing time as limited in one place to transfer to another place where he can have significant PT. He's not going to transfer mid-season to a powerhouse, because his PT will typically be small there too. There's a reason he's transferring to USC, and it's not because they're better than us.

All that being said, I wish Chaun the best and hope he kicks UGAy in the face every time he gets the chance.

agreed, not saying they are better, history definetely says that much... wish him well also, still suxes

I struggle wishing folks well after they commit to us and we make plans around them and not some other kid. But in the spirit of Georgia Tech, I wish him well anyway.

Are you seriously comparing Duke and South Carolina? Have you been to those two stadiums and schools to actually see how VASTLY different those two programs are? If you're a high school football player and you don't get excited about running out onto the field at a place like Williams-Brice Stadium at USC then nothing would ever get you excited. The fans there go nuts for the team. I wish we GT fans supported our team even half as rabidly as the USC fans support theirs (note this is not a knock on those who DO show up for games or on those who CAN'T show up for games for whatever reason).

Duke has a high school stadium and nobody shows up. They win very few football games and are competitive in almost as few as they win. USC has a huge, extremely loud, PACKED football stadium and they have reason to believe they are getting better and have a coach who has proven to win championships. I know they don't have tons of winning history in football at USC but they have lots of tangible things going for them that Duke doesn't.

I can understand being upset about losing recruits to Duke because of their stature. And I can understand being upset about losing recruits to USC because of how much poaching they've been doing. But to lump them in with Duke shows a lack of understanding about what those two programs are.
