Sagarin Predictor: GT +2 against Miami

If we beat Miami it will be because we just play a good dang game. Miami has linemen that are men. Not sure we can compete. Usually when we win it’s because the other team sucks or plays bad.

We've done a great job taking advantage of the other team's mistakes. Which is a great thing, and not necessarily easy to do.

But if the other team doesn't make mistakes, we'll have a tough time winning.

Do you just post negative öööö to be negative all the time? Miami sucks. I have no clue why you’d think we can’t compete against a team with the same record as us.

Umm. If you gave a coach the choice of rosters they would choose Miami’s 9/10.

Time to pull an upset. We may be in their league, but they aren't in ours.

The line seems low to me. Miami hasn't scored a TD in their last two games. Their starting QB was injured against Duke missed their last two game. I have no idea if he'll be back for our game.

When Tech beat Pitt and Duke (both good teams) the Jackets won due to very good defense and making some good plays offensively. Both Duke and Pitt got outplayed by Georgia Tech. Give us some credit darn it!

GO JACKETS!

Rhett Lashlee (head coach of SMU, former Miami OC) scored more touchdowns in the first half yesterday against Houston than Miami has scored in their last 10 first halves of the season. Tom Fornelli said that on Cover 3 this morning and it had me dying.

But he also said GT vs Miami would be "abysmal" or wtte so I got pissed and switched to VSIN.

Game will come down to the way the rest have gone: defense hangs on for dear life while the offense figures out how hump a doorknob

surprise surprise it's GT - 1.5

This is a funny season for us. We have 4 losses to teams currently ranked in the Top 25. None of those teams are in our own division, where we’re 3-1 and our only loss coming b/c our starting QB went down.

If you give us basically any other Coastal team’s non-division schedule we probably get 4 or 5 wins from it. Miami is the closest and they still have 3 non-P5 opponents where we had Ole Miss and UCF.

Duke: WF, BC, NW, Kansas, Temple, NCA&T
UM: Clem, FSU, A&M, MTSU, USM, B-C
UNC: NCSU, WF, ND, GSU, App St, FA
Pitt: Cuse, UL, Tenn, WVU, WMU,
UVA: Cuse, UL, CCU, Illinois, Richmond, ODU
VPI: NCSU, BC, WVU, Liberty, ODU, Wofford

Give us a halfway normal schedule and a healthy Sims and we’re probably 7-2 right now. Which isn’t to say we deserve to be 7-2. But it is to say that I don’t think we should be at all afraid of Miami or an 8-1 UNC who has played maybe the softest schedule in the country to this point.

Have to tighten up on D and kick coverage. Offense will find a way if we can keep them out of the red zone.
