One of the most distinctive features of a GT uniform is the wide shoulder stripes. It doesn’t get talked about nearly enough. I don’t know when the Saints brought the stripe back, but it’s fantastic..

This (above) is the throwback copy of that '69-'71 uniform. IMPO, though, the classic Gold/White/Gold with Navy/Black numerals combo of the 50's through the 70's is the winner. It is the one that the Dallas Cowboys even copied. That's classic. Other than that singular style, this one (above) is the sharpest look I have ever seen on a GA Tech football team. Would that we would get back to those two! The above is my favorite GT helmet of all time.

IT IS BETTER THAN THE CJ THROWBACKS.. The gold in the '06 throwbacks matched and it's one of the reasons it's universally adored. I'm not going to be an asshole about this because I appreciate the amount of impassioned screaming in this post.
